Senior UX Researcher, Android Extended Reality Developer

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in an applied research setting, or
similar.
- 1 year of experience conducting research on developer tools, or
APIs.Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive
Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, or related
field.
- 5 years of experience conducting UX research on products and
working with executive leadership (e.g., Director level and
above).
- 3 years of experience managing projects, and working in a
changing organization.
- 2 years of experience with research in hardware or immersive
technologies (e.g., Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality
(VR)).
- 2 years of experience in early-stage or emerging
technologies.
- 1 year of experience with systems research connecting APIs to
optimize technology stack performance and drive platform

behaviors and motivations by conducting primary research such as
field studies, interviews, diary studies, participatory workshops,

Google through regular meetups, mentor programs, and access to
internal research tools.The Platforms and Ecosystems product area
encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across
environments (desktop, mobile, applications). The products provide
enterprises, and ultimately end users, the ability to utilize and
manage their services at scale. We build innovative and compelling
software products-from apps to TVs, from laptops to phones-that
have an impact on people's lives across the world.The US base
salary range for this full-time position is $151,000-$222,000 +
bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by
role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is
determined by work location and additional factors, including
job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

- Influence stakeholders across organizations to gain support for
research-based, user-centric solutions.
- Own project priorities in alignment with product goals, and
oversee allocation of resources within the project.
- Drive ideas to improve products and services through
research-driven insights and recommendations.
- Lead teams to define and evaluate product, service, and
ecosystem impact.
- Own idea and strategy discussions through research by
analyzing, consolidating, or synthesizing what is known about user,
