Data Analyst role to support the Department of Athletics, Physical
Education and Recreation's ("DAPER") development team. DAPER is one
of the premier intercollegiate athletics programs in the country.

Data Analyst is a member of the Office of Development (OOD) which
advances Stanford's mission by raising philanthropic support from
alumni, parents, families, friends, and institutional funders.

development.Position Summary:Reporting to the Senior Associate
Athletics Director, Development, the Associate Director, Data
Analyst will perform complex technical work associated with a wide
variety of analytical data in support of the DAPER Development
strategy and goals. Projects will be both assigned and of their own
design to enhance our principal gift, major gift, annual giving and
engagement efforts. Excellent collaboration with team members and
other internal stakeholders is critical for success.In this role
you will:
- Work under consultative or self-initiated direction to assess
and produce relevant, standard, or custom information (reports,
dashboards, charts, graphs and tables) aimed at enhancing campaign
fundraising strategy, building prospect pipelines, and stewarding
donors.
- Devise methods for identifying data patterns and fundraising
trends that inform strategy and enhance results. Determine and
recommend additional data collection and reporting requirements as
needed.
- Develop algorithms and statistical models and perform
statistical analyses on complex data and reporting
requirements.
- Design and customize reports based upon data in the database
supporting team needs while creating team efficiencies.
- Team expert in the fundraising database and reporting software.
Lead the implementation of data standards and common data elements
for data collection.
- Serve as a resource for non-routine inquiries such as requests
for fundraising statistics or surveys.
- Collaborate with OOD and DAPER technical staff to standardize
and systemize routine reports, dashboards, and metrics.
- May test prototype software and participate in approval and
release process for new software.
- Demonstrate a commitment to promoting and supporting an
environment of diversity and inclusion.To be successful in this
role, you will bring:Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant
experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance,
statistics or engineering.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge and experience using and applying analytical
software, database management system software, database reporting
software, database user interface and query software, and data
mining software.
- Expert ability to collect data using a variety of methods, such
as data mining and hardcopy or electronic documentation study, to
improve or expand databases.
- Basic statistical ability.
- Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple activities in a deadline-oriented
environment; highly organized, flexible and rigorous attention to
detail.
- Ability to use logic to calculate data; efficiently construct a
database or scrutinize the form of a question.
- Ability to work with data of varying levels of quality and
validity.
- Demonstrated ability to produce data in a clear and
understandable manner meeting user requirements.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple internal and external
customers.
- Ability to take a leadership role on projects and with
users/clients.WORK STANDARDS:

Administrative Guide.The expected pay range for this position is
$104,358 - $128,038 per annum.At Stanford University, base pay
