The Sr. Director of GTM Operations will be joining Salesforce's Global Distribution Programs, Planning & Operations team. This leader will be responsible for leading an exceptional team supporting territory, quota, planning transformation, and headcount operations at Salesforce! This includes driving all territory, quota, planning transformation and headcount processes during Salesforce's annual go-to-market planning and execution process and maintaining success throughout the fiscal year. Additionally, this role will reinvent and deliver major transformational initiatives to drive accuracy, scale, and efficiency in Salesforce's operational foundation.

    This leader will be responsible for building and executing multi-year roadmaps to transform highly sophisticated Headcount, Territory and Quota systems, tools, and processes working across a matrixed set of cross-functional stakeholders including Finance, Employee Success, Incentive Compensation, Strategy and Distribution Leadership.

    This leader will tackle deeply complex challenges and design and deliver meaningful recommendations for headcount, territory and quota planning, through relevant, reliable, transparent data and scalable tools.
    - Responsibilities:
    • Lead the global headcount management, territory operations, transformation, and quota execution teams
    • Design and implement short and long term roadmaps for improved operational efficiency, effectiveness, and performance in headcount, territory and quota planning. Includes driving detailed business requirements for technological development.
    • Develop and implement data analysis for larger and more sophisticated data sets to inform decisions and priorities.
    • Provide thought leadership and operational impact assessment of go-to-market decisions on headcount, quota, and territory processes, timelines, and outcomes
    • Build trusted, impactful relationships across a dynamic and matrixed set of operational and distribution partners
    • Design and support organizational change for stakeholders of headcount, territory and quota operations for changes in process, policy, systems, and tools
    • Own, manage, and innovate the global program timelines, processes, and policies for headcount, territory, and quota planning Required Skills/Experience:
      • 10-15+ years of work experience, ideally in Sales Operations, Sales Strategy, or Finance
      • Exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to structure complex problems and propose innovative solutions.
      • Track record of curiosity, beginners mind and challenging the status quo in order to transform complex operations.
      • Experience in building and driving territory and quota planning processes and tools.
      • Experience with sales coverage models, quota-setting methodologies, and territory planning.
      • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
      • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to understand granular detail without losing sight of the big picture.
      • Experience leading teams of at least 20. Track record of delivering business-needs while also investing in the development and advancement of talent. Comfortable addressing areas of vital performance improvement on the team.
      • Able to identify, frame, and solve complex challenges. Able to prioritize and make tough decisions.
      • Comfortable managing high volumes of data, deriving insights from data, and making data-based decisions or recommendations.
      • Comfortable in Google Sheets and Excel.
      • Ability to independently craft a full range of clear, high-impact communications for different partners. Ability to communicate in a clear and authentic manner.
      • Ability to establish and build close working relationships. Ability to motivate, collaborate, and work successfully in a team environment. Proven track record of managing complex sets of team members. Comfortable leading a distributed team across multiple time zones.
      • Capable of reliably driving deliverables on incredibly tight deadlines in a rapidly changing environment while juggling multiple priorities.
      • Experience working with executive leadership.
      • Superior time management skills. Experience managing deliverables on a tight timeline and in high-pressure situations.
      • Thrive in ambiguity, comfortable in a fast-paced and regularly changing environment.
